Hello Dear Friends, a few days ago We had a great exploring meetup in Dhaka Metro Rail. It was a wonderful, knowledge sharing and fun meetup. The meetup was about exploring Dhaka metro and Dhaka city.
Dhaka city is one of the highly populated cities as we all know. We missed some modern transportation in this city. Metro Rail service gives us some hope of modern transportation and communication. It also increases the beauty of Dhaka city. That is why we organized this meetup and explored the city in this meetup from a different view.
Meetup story!
We started our Meetup from the Motijheel Metro station at 3.30 pm. It was a Friday and public holiday and we expected a crowd-free metro journey. And it started a nice journey from Motijheel station where the metro started.
It was my first day in Dhaka Metro Rail, But not the First Metro rail experience. I had metro rail experience in Bangkok, Thailand, and Kolkata, India before. But in my motherland, it was my first time. I noticed a great and better metro rail in my own country. Although It is a new service with modern technology from Japan. The running metro rail service is called the MRT Line 6 Project

After bought our ticket we 4 Local Guides started our metro rail journey. Our first stop was Dhaka University Station. We visited TSC which is one of the historical place of Bangladesh. We had a tea adda there with some new taste of tea flavor. Shahed Sultan and Solaiman joined us there to experience this exploring meetup in Dhaka Metro rail. They also have much experience in Dhaka Metro rail as they are regular metro use.
Then we started our metro rail journey to the next station. It was Agargaon where we stopped our journey for the second time.
Agarogaon Station is one of the iconic stations of Dhaka Mtreo rail. That is why we chose the station for our second stoppage.
We then started our journey to the last station of the journey. It’s called Uttora Uttor where we ended our first spell of this journey.
After the exit, we checked the station area’s beauty from the different angles and sides. It’s an attractive and beautiful station with well planned. Some best food courts, restaurants, and street foods are available for visitors and metro passengers. Only at this station, we noticed some beautifully decorated Rikhshaws, One of the iconic symbol of Dhaka city.
After looking around we had some snack and drink time and there we also meet Farhan. After some talking and Local Guides discussion we ended our Uttora Uttor station part. Then We started our journey to the Back. We started our Mtreo journey from Uttora Center again. Our final destination was Motijhel. I also issued an MRT pass to make my future metro rail services smoother & easier.

Accessibilities
One of the special features we found as a local guide is the fully accessible Dhaka metro rail service.
Every station entrance and excite point has an accessible walkway ramp and tactile pavement. Accessible signage is also visible widely everywhere. Specially Wheelchair accessibility, facilities for vision impairments, and hearing impairments are remarkable. Otherwise, every station has a chart of information about restrictions on what visitors can do or not.
Women and kids Friendly
All the Dhaka metro rail areas are women and kids-friendly with zero tolerance. Women have a special dedicated coach for their journey.
We found different street food in different metro station areas. After a great meetup, we ended our meetup at the Motijheel station.
