Hi Friends,
This is a recap of the #WorldChallenge organized by me and my co-hosts @jayasimha78 and @Denise_Barlock on 11th December 2021. This #WorldChallenge was specially created from my #ExploreTheMapsChallenge series.
I’m glad to tell you all that I got another privilege to host the World Challenge, in this opportunity for the #ExploreTheMapsChallenge. Thanks to @jayasimha78 for running the game.
We started the game with ten Local Guides who were all ready to play.
This challenge was a little different from the last one in that it was created specifically for Google Maps using famous landmarks. In this quiz total of 31 questions were extracted from the explore the maps challenge, including a total of six countries.
(A meetup banner showing the challenges of 6 countries designed by @jayasimha78 )
One by one the questions started, and all started giving correct answers. Deepak and Anshuk were in the lead when the first round ended.
The second round was crucial for everyone because it contained all of the highest-scoring questions. Everyone needed to improve their scores in this round. The person who provides the most correct answers has the opportunity to improve up the scoring table. As a result, @KashifMisidia got the most points in this round, and @ModNomad and @AnshukMitra were a little behind him.
It was finally time for the last question. Everyone was allowed to wager as many points as they wanted, but only up to the amount they had earned. If you get the answer right, you’ll get double points; if you get it wrong, you’ll lose your waged points.
And the final jackpot question was… Who was the collaborator in the India challenge with Naresh
A. Falguni
B. Anshuk
C. Tushar
D. Tejal
The quiz was difficult, but one thing that stood out was that all of the local guides came close to predicting the correct answers. Only two people were able to give correctly answer the final question. With the most points, @KashifMisidia was declared the winner. Congratulations… Kashifbhai.
Thanks to @Tejal for helping me during the meetup by reading the questions.

It is difficult to run a voluntary force that too virtually all the time. Google Maps has however taken up this arduous task for a common cause with great success. Thanks to the dedicated team at the top, the middle and the front end volunteers -warriors - the Local Guides. It may at times pose monotonous for there is no monetary support; leisure time to spare; sometimes frustrating when your genuine posts may not be entertained; you may not ever get a chance to meet the top people in your life time. Still there is the undying spirit of camaraderie and great heart of the members (young and old, women and men, various background, languages, professions) with helping nature which helps in continuing our journey, with this Google Local Guide group. A worthy venture for us for the benefit of common people across the world.
In this journey, events like this shall keep the spirit alive. Nice of you to have arranged this program. Recap was also good. Cheers.
