This place is one of the Takhat Sahib out of the five Takhat mention in Sikhism.
The gurudwara within the premises known as Sach-Khand,internal part or room of gurudwara is the “Angitha Sahib”. Structure build above the place where Guru Gobind singhji was cremated. This gurudwara built between the period 1832 to 1837 by Maharaja Ranjit Singh ji.

History of Hola:–

After making the Khalsa, Panth,Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji , ordered our khalsa would not celebrate Holi, and instead introduced the tradition of Hola Mohalla at shri Anandpur Sahib Gurudware.
On this occasion sikh to demonstrate their martial skills in simulated battle field .With Panch Pyaare ( five Gursikh sit on horse holding sword).Simply “Hola Mohalla” called "Mock Fight’.Unlike holi people gathered and sprinkle colour dry Gulal colour on each other’s.

Thanks, After reading the post my childhood memories flash in front of me I was 8-9 years old we went by truck full of relatives to see Hola Mohalla. My Grandmother nani & Mama , Masi, with kids came in truck from orissa. As my Dad is member of Dadar Gurudwara so we got rooms to stay otherwise it’s very difficult to get Gurudwara room to state.

My Daddy & Dadar Gurudwara committee put camp there help people.

Today I remember my dad also , last year l lost my dad .

I have been several years to Nanded but never went to Hola Mohalla again want to show my kids once.

Nice pics you taken .Today also they say they have Guru Gobind Singh ji horse Generation in Gurudwara. Only in Hola Mohalla & other important procession they take the horse out . Sikh in Blue & yellow are called Nihan singh they dress differently also show there skill.

Once again Thanks, God bless you.
