I am writing about the great Celebration of our big occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. It’s one of the tow biggest religious festivals of Muslims. Eid-ul-Fitr means the Festival of the breaking fast. We know we had one month whole days fast during the Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr is the happy ending of the Ramadan month.
Meet-Up: Eid Celebration - Bengali
Our Meet-Up started on the Google Meet platform at 8.30 pm Bangladesh time. Like other meet-Ups, we started the Meet-Up by introducing with one another.
Then we started our Eid experience and celebration sharing part. It was our first virtual meet-up for celebrating any festival with all fellow Local Guides. It was about 30+ Local Guides joined us this Meet-up. The biggest religious festival of Muslims was not gorgeous like before because this time it’s about COVID-19 situation and situation for maintaining social distance. Our past Eid celebration was total with independence, friendly, hugging, handshake social, and traditional visiting one another not only for family and relatives but also for all. This year their different types of celebrations with different types of local laws for Eid. Local Guides also affected this situation and Local Laws.
Who joined us?

  • Bangladeshi Local Guides
  • Indian Local Guides
  • Our immigrant Local Guides

Local Guides shared their story of how they celebrate the day from their situations. Maximum local guides stayed home even completed prayers on the home.
Local Guide Activities and Eid celebrations:

  • Maximum stayed home and completed prayers at home
  • Some went out for prayers only.
  • Some were with complete family
  • Some were with some of his family members
  • Without traveling and visiting the neighborhood
  • Some immigrant Local Guides went on daily work duty
  • Local Guides celebrate Eid maintaining lockdown and local laws.
  • Tasting homemade traditional Eid food dishes
  • Virtual meeting and visiting friends

Local Guides who joined us tried to make this Meet-Up fun and practical by sharing nice photos and sharing what they have eaten. It was really a nice moment when we passed the time with Local Guides. We had also a lot of Local Guides questions during the Meet-Up.

Thank you @ShafiulB for arranging such meet up.

This was my first Eid celebration with Bangladeshi friends and guides like you, @ShakilAK @ShahMdSultan @Farhan21 and more. Though the situation here was not favourable due to Cyclone Amphan, but I tried to join.

I invite you all in Kolkata to enjoy and visualise the biggest celebration for Bengali in Kolkata- Durga Puja in October.

স্বল্প সময়ের জন্যে জয়েন করেছিলাম এই মিটআপে যদিও ঐ দিনটি ছিলো আমার শোকআক্রান্ত দিন।

তবুও সাময়িক সময়ের জন্যে মন ভালো ছিলো ধন্যবাদ @ShafiulB ভাই এত সুন্দর মিটআপ আয়জন করার জন্যে ও সুন্দর ভাবে রিক্যাপ পোষ্ট করার জন্যে
