First of all I would like to thank everyone who came for the meet-up and to those who supported me to make my first Meetup a success. Special thanks to @TravellerG sir for guiding me always ?.
As planned we started our divine photo walk from the famous Nanganallur Anjaneyar temple. Before we entered the temple, we clicked some pictures of the small vendors selling the flowers, incense sticks and pooja offerings outside the temple. Also we checked for the Accessibility facility available in the temple and marked the same to google maps. Even though the temple has stairs people are there to aid those with wheel chairs. This being a holy place we are not supposed to click pictures in the inner sanctum.
We enjoyed the 32 ft tall statue of the Lord Anjaneyar (Hanuman). The architecture of the temple was just astonishing!. Adding to this @RtnArulPrakasamT a senior LG and localite of Nanganallur, loaded us with many facts about the temple. And we were offered with Prasad at the temple.
We continued our walk to next temple which was Sri Utthara Guruvayoorappan Temple . This temple is built in the Kerala style of temple architecture, following the famous Guruvayoorappan Temple of kerala. The well lit temple was photographed in still and 360°. We had Prasad from the temple.
After a brief discussion with @Saravanakanth and @BharathD guided us regarding 360° photography then we continued to our last destination. The deity of third temple is Lord Ganesha which was so colourful and newly renovated. At the end we concluded our meet-up with a group photo and a brief knowledge sharing session, clarifying doubts among each other.
Congratulations for your divine walk and the fact that you shared it with us.
The photos are very nice, and as far as I can see from the first one, the attendees were almost men! Is there a reason behind that, or simply women didn’t show up? Is prasad a kind of rice?
Yes Tamilnadu local guides community is growing bigger and bigger day by day and at this point of time we do have only one female LG @Gurukrishnapriya mam .
And prasad is a general term for anything that’s offered in the temple to the devotees and the image that I shared was made-up of broken rice I guess . @TravellerG sir’s native being Kerala he can correct me if I’m wrong .
Thanks for sharing with us, as we even got mentioned in this special post! : ]
Kudos to the group, as not only contributing to the community, as to do the needed when entering a holy place, such as the temple of Nanganallur Anjaneyar!
I really like seeing the signs and the whole outlook of the location, should that remind me to visit a temple as soon as possible.
That was much needed mention @RtnArulPrakasamT sir as you loaded us with many interesting facts about those temples which we all loved to listen those from you
very happy to see you all together . And you have mentioned about accessible facility also that is good. Carving of temple is lovely Can you explain what is pprasad made from.?
Actually I’m not sure of the ingredients of that prasad mam but I guess it’s made of broken rice. It was offered to us in the Guruvayoorappan Temple which is kerala style so @TravellerG sir might be knowing it I guess.
