Delhi Food Crawl meet-up was scheduled on 01-10-17 @Janakpuri District Center from 11 am - 1 pm.
There’s a story behind this meet-up, and so much to share with you guys because the meet-up was so much fun and all of the local guides were so happy with the food everywhere that it made me satisfied with all the efforts that I have been putting in. I hand-picked a few restaurants & cafe that I personally visit very often and all of these were not that famous initially when I discovered them.I am a foodie and also an Entrepreneur who has just started his small(as of now) business in the Food Industry, and I absolutely love trying new places to eat and meet new people all around.
Being a local guide, we share our experiences in the form of reviews and photographs of a place, so I decided to plan a meet-up and gather all the Local Guides from New-Delhi. I hand-picked a few restaurants & cafe that I personally visit very often and all of these were not really popular even amongst the locals initially when I discovered them, but the food quality and taste that they offer was really good.
Every time I visited these places, I was a customer, but for this meet-up, I went in as a Local Guide to meet the owners and discuss about the meet-up beforehand and everything in the meet-up went exactly as planned.
The best part is that everyone liked the food of all the places that were short-listed for the meet-up.

About the Meet-up:
We initially gathered at a location where we met each other and I made it a point to add accessibility information about every place that we will visit today.I distributed a printed copy of the Accessibility Guide that has the necessary information on how to add accessibility info to Google Maps.
Then we headed towards our first location which was very popular amongst the locals for it unique Samosa(Indian dish) that has Macroni pasta (Italian dish) filling inside it and the other variant includes Noodles (Chinese dish) fillings. Then we walked towards our Second stop for the day which was “The Shakes Cabana” where we had a veg-burger, Pasta & tried their exclusive Shakes.
Here’s a snapshot of the food:-
Well, this was just the appetizer/starter which ignited our hunger, so we moved towards our next location which was “Prisha Paratha Junction” where some of the other Local Guides joined us. While we were discussing some of the features of Google Maps, we were wholeheartedly welcomed by the owner and in no time came our Paratha which was approximately 2ft. big. Here’s what the Paratha looked like:-
It was so big and stuffed that Just 1 paratha was sufficient to feed all of us. After all of us were completely stuffed with food, we went to our last stop which was “Flavourz factoree” to have some freshly baked cakes(pastries) and other sweets for dessert.
Here’s what our dessert looked like:-
All of us then gathered for a group Photograph :-
