RECAP: Clean the Environment
Environmental hazards is one of the most threatening problems in Anambra and in the world. As a way to mark Internal Youth Day Celebration, Youths in Idemili North Local Government (some are local guides while some are prospective guides), kicked off the cleaning exercise within Ogidi environs.

The event started around 11:30pm as against the scheduled time. We engaged ourselves in cleaning the roads, cutting of grasses and removing waste at the gutter side.

It was fun as road users and passers by congratulated our efforts and encouraged us to continue.
We could engaged in cleaning everywhere because the rain started which lasted for an hour, altered the process of cleaning. The cleaning exercise ended around 2pm.

I love the fact that more and more meet-ups are focusing on cleaning the world of trash. It’s really an important issue in my opinion.

Well done @UchechukwuEnem . I watch you take great initiatives as a local guide program in Nigeria. It is rare to see women taking such initiatives in this area.
