Thank you all those who have attended the 71st Republic Day parade in Chennai.
All these years I only view the Republic day celebrations parade only through media channels. First time I am seen directly, this experience created full of happiness with goosebumps.
That day i woke up early morning around 5.a.m. By mistake, I took my car to reach the parade place, But Police persons not allowed to Reach Gandhi statue through Dr.Radhakrishnan road, more than 30minutes I am trying to find a parking space near and there. Everywhere full of police persons on duty for security reasons, they are not allowing the car parking near Gandhi Statue. Finally, I found a place for parking in Lloyds road.
From Lloyds road, via Avvai Shanmugam salai I have reached Beach Road around 7 a.m. Then I decided Queen Mary’s College main Gate is a perfect place to view the parade. There I met Karthik and Goutham.
Too much public participation the places are full around 7.45 a.m. After that late coming publics are not allowed inside.
Around 8.00 a.m Republic day function celebrations started with great passion and enthusiasm.
Importance of the Republic Day Parade is to pay tribute to the martyrs who have sacrificed their lives for the country and to confer bravery awards on military, Police, citizenry, and children for showing courage in the face of adversity.
Around 8.00 a.m an Air Force helicopter showered flower petals on the venue, as the gathering sung the National Anthem.
Contingents from the Army, the Navy, the Air Force, the Coast Guard, Ex-Servicemen, the Central Reserve Police Force, the Central Industrial Security Force, the Railway Police Force and various wings of the Tamil Nadu Police, the Home Guards (Men and Women), the National Cadet Corps, the National Service Scheme volunteers, the Bharat Scouts and Guides, acrobatics team, among others, enthralled the audience.
Students from various schools and colleges and artists made spectacular performances for the gathering. Floats from various State government departments, highlighting the achievements, were also part of the parade.
The Chief Minister handed over various medal winners in the ceremony.
After completion of the parade, we met LG’s in front of the Lighthouse. There I met TravelerG, Rubert, Nandhakumar, Dhanasekar, Nishanth, Karthik, Vignesh, and Arun Jyothi.
Around 30minutes we discussed the objective and Google’s map road editing techniques. Around 10.00 a.m. we finished our meet-up with a very happy note. After reading my writeup, I request you to post your comments and likes.
