A very very warm hello to my dear connected friends!
Hope everyone is doing great and had a great start to 2023.
Taking ahead the idea from @ajitthite (and @tusharsuradkar) here am I… writing my very first post for the year 2023. Being my very first experience of (Physical) LG meet up it definitely holds a special place on my connect blogs which is a RECAP of Meetup organized by my dear friend @Rohan10 at Viviana Mall, Thane, on January 15, 2023. Also, a small contribution to an anniversary meetup celebration by @NareshDarji @Tushar_Suradkar and @KashifMisidi. #LGannivmeetup
I attended this event with my family (my husband- Sagar and son-Virajas). Although it was the very first time I met my fellow LGs, it felt like a years-long association. We all gelled up within no time and shared some amazing experiences and tips like how to support map clean up, how to support local businesses and many more.
I am grateful to @Shrut19 , @Globe_trotter_Isha (Guiding Star, Accessibility Champion, Meet Up Champion, Connect Moderator), @MayuriKubal , @SUMEET1, @Aditya_Patil and @Rohan10(family) for spending their valuable time with my family and me on the occasion of Connect’s 8th -anniversary celebration meet up. I would also like to mention that brief interaction with @AjitThite @NareshDarji @TravellerG made it even more memorable. A am always keen on gathering expert opinions and advice to contribute better to connect platforms as well as Google maps, which is exactly what I could do during this face-to-face interaction.
I would like to give a special mention to Bhagyashree (Rohan’s wife), for the 8th-anniversary cake for Connect which was one of the best attractions of this meetup. The atmosphere was cheerful beyond what I can express in words. That was such a sweet surprise for us. Many many thanks to @Rohan10 , Bhagyashree and Arhat for bringing us the cake and making this event even more memorable.
I personally benefited from this meet-up as I started my association with the Connect platform during Covid times when physical meetups were not possible. Meeting my LG friends offline definitely has another level of fun and excitement which I truly felt during this event. We shared not only our experiences from Connect but also shared some helpful incidents to contribute better to Connect.
I hope to attend many such thoughtful meet-ups in the coming times. And my very best wishes to Connect on its 8th anniversary! I am also excited to catch up with everyone for @Pratik_89 ’s breakfast meet-up on 1st Feb.
