San Francisco Carnaval is a big event held annually which is organized by non profit organization CarnavalSF
It is not as big as the one in Brazil, however over 100 comprasas participate in annual parade and also there are several events leading to the grand parade, one of them is 2 day festival.
Last year Parade and Festival were cancelled due to Covid. However since things are slowly opening up, CarnalSF arranged a Resource fair, which is a scaled down version of 2 day festival. This years theme was giving back to the community, it was a combination of job fair, entertainment, graduation ceremony for local community for San Francisco Mission District. CarnvalSF is also distributing free food to community members who have gotten affected by the Covid situation, closure of many businesses and job losses.
