Wow !!! This is by far one of the most relaxing meet-up I have organized. It’s not the most attended,but the few local guides who came learnt something and did appreciate the meet-up. It has been said that the size ofbyour audience doesn’t matter much,the quality of the delivery of your message does matter (either smal or large audience) mine was a small audience but very attentive and communicative too. Many thanks to all the local guides who attended.
I will also like to acknowledge those who simply forgot and have tendered their apologies for their absence at the meet-up,I do understand and fully accept the apologies thank you.
I’ll also tag some local guides were absent for very reasonable excuses. @JanVanHaver hope you’ll be interested in the recap,thanks for your interest in the meet-up.
@MortenCopenhagen you were well missed especially at the questions sections which I did my best to answer.
Having said that,the meet-up started at exactly 10am GMT +1(WAT),all the attendants were late,sorry about that. Nevertheless the meet-up held.
Seeing the meet-up was delayed,I went ahead and presented the slide I had prepared on Edits(Adding a new place on android device). Below is the link of the slide for anyone who is interested.
There was one question all the attendants of the meet-up asked which I did my best to answer. It’s not strange nor new to me neither to most of us local guides-Delay in approval of edits.
I suppose for various reasons,wrong or inaccurate location is one reason I mentioned. Therefore when Adding Adding new place especially,we have to ensure that the location is fairly accurate.
We mentioned that Adding a cover photo or front view of the place,phone number,working hours etc could speed up the approval rate of the edit.
@Peachy100 a level 5 local guide had the same question and we encouraged her to be more active. @Kofigramm another level 5 local guide from Ghana also attended. The meet-up went longer than stipulated but we achieved something tangible.
@Saddam_1 was the last and the best on the game. He asked a few questions as well and we demonstrated on the meet-up how to add a front view photo to a POI. We have been buddies for sometime on connect.
Therefore the meet-up ended on a friendly note.
@Erna_LaBeau will also like to see the recap as she wasn’t able to attend due to time difference,many thanks for your interest.
