Recap: Bonny Island 36 photo walk.

Yet once more, I did it again. It can only get better. The shots and the ideas of connecting and showing to other local guides the fun there is in being a local guide. This was a solo meet-up, but I enjoyed it all the same like the rest of my meet-ups.

…the green scenery, the creek, the monkeys screeching on the trees around, just nature !!!

The meet-up was stipulated to begin at 10.00am prompt but as a result of bad weather, it was delayed till 2.00pm WAT. The venue of the meet-up was just the ideal place and things I always love. I love nature, green fields and sceneries, animals especially in their natural habitats, clean fresh air as a result of very low or zero level pollution. All these and more are what I enjoyed in my time on this meet-up at the Finima Nature Park . The only one regret is that it’s not accessible. I got the courage to speak with the management which was a good thing. They will think about it and plan towards it “they said”

Now my first port of visit was the park office for a little orientation and run-down of the place. Coming out of the office into the park I was met by a beautiful peacock which you will see in the Photo Album link here . I headed out to the boat cruise and oh Wow ! I spent about 10mins on a boat cruise. It was nature in it’s raw state. The creek, the green vegetation around me, the monkeys screeching on the trees around me just nature !!! Of course a few fishes popping up on the creek, the gentle movement of the boat, I enjoyed it all, just nature in it’s raw estate.

I also saw and took shots of little peahen and a yellow beak kite after my boat cruise. There were lots of games to be played but it will distract me from my shots. Games like; Chess,Ludo, Snake and Ladder etc. I proceeds to the children area and it was quite beautiful. A large playing grounds for kids. There was the long walk way to the area where there was the Skeleton of a huge whale !!! That’s another history altogether really. It’s a very interesting place to visit.

That was my last port of call for the 36 walk as the day was far spent. Sundays are work days for me as a missionary, so I had to end my nice enjoyable solo meet-up here. By the time I finished, I was well exercised because I walked alot taking shots and visiting the different corners of this park. A little but tire, but happy for the time spent. I was also happy that I was going to share this on connect…!

To get the full story and details of this solo meet-up, please have a look at the**Photo Link Album . @PaulPavlinovich **another set of 36 photos for you here. Please feel free to help yourself to them, they may not be as nice as the first meet-up though but they’ll do. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to take so many. What date os next year’s 36 walk please, Lol

Well I certainly enjoyed it solo or not. Others on connect might enjoy the photos as well and that’s what counts.

I see my points have been boosted too, because of posting 36 new photos on the maps of the place. Thank you

Cheers

Bonny is a common household name in the South-South of Nigeria especially in Port Harcourt where I live. I joined this platform this morning and really look forward to adding more to the great values I see already on Local Guides Connect.

Besides the economic importance of this place (Bonny) to Nigeria, it has a rich traditional culture and geographically opens up to the Atlantic Ocean…

Hello @ChrisKWC75
