[Recap] Bangkok Geo-Walk : Map Your World Week

On Saturday, 18 March 2017, Bangkok/Thailand Local Guides Team had organized a meet-up “Bangkok Geo-Walk” as part of Local Guides “Map Your World Week” global event. It was a great opportunity for us to take a walk around new community malls in town: Suanplern Market, A-Square and K-Village.

We met together at Suanplern Market food court, waiting for other members and started to walk from there to K-Village.

K-Village is an Open-Air Shopping Mall located on Sukhumvit Soi 26 and there is a weekend market for trendy fashion shoppers as well as a variety of foods for food lovers.

We spent almost an hour here to walk around and do map-editing on Google Maps. After that, we walked to A-Square, a new life style place for people, located just a few steps from K Village. We had a quick bite at Savoey Seafood, a traditional Thai restaurant where have been serving Thai people for over 40 years. This time, we were invited by community mall owner and restaurant representative to taste some recommended dishes.

At the end of the day, we headed back to meeting room at Suanplern Market to recap the event, past events in Thailand, how to join our communities as well as provide a brief information & FAQs about Local Guides Summit 2017.
