This post is about the Recap of Local Guides Geo Walk at K.R Market organised by me on 26th October 2017 between 1.00 PM to 3.00 PM. I apologize for my late recap post since I was busy in an eye camp in past days. The topic for this post is because in this Geo walk meetup, I discovered a Fort which is very near to my meetup location and I visited the Fort during this Geo walk meetup and it become similar to a Photo Walk meetup at Fort. Thats the reason for this topic as An unexpected Photo Walk during Geo Walk Meetup.
Let me share my meetup experience. I went to the meetup location sharp at 1.00 PM and waited for sometime so that the applied Local Guides of the meetup will join. Unfortunately, no Local Guides joined this meetup.
During this meetup, I noticed so many of shops were misplaced in Google Maps and I tried my best to correct as much as I can. The climate was chill and extremely friendly for me during this meetup. I took photos of places, added places which were not available in Google Maps.
During the meetup, I was able to find Bangalore Fort very near to meetup location. So I made a visit to this Fort during Geo Walk Meetup. The specialty of Bangalore Fort is that, it is free to visit and there is no entry fees. I took so many photos and videos of Bangalore Fort to be add it in Google Maps.
At that time,I felt like, I am in Photo Walk meetup. The meetup became so memorable to me because of two reasons. One is, this was the first time, I was by myself alone in a meetup and the other is I felt like a Photo Walk during Geo Walk meetup. For more photos, check Geo Walk Meetup Photo Album. Thanks a lot for taking your time to read this Recap post. Its you all who motivate, encourage, support me in Connect. My sincere thanks to the Local Guides Team for providing me this great opportunity to be a Local Guide. Wish you all a Happy Guiding !
Hi @SalmaanN , it seems you was experiencing an “one man meet-up”.
Well, you did a great job, and the discoveries of Bangalore Fort is an extra bonus that you deserved
If you want a personal suggestion, next time, before to subscribe for the meet-up, build up a team, giving to every one a role, a responsability, something to do. In this way they will feel personally involved in the activity. This helps a lot, because everyone became an active actor of the event.
@SalmaanN This is a super meet up, thanks for sharing, You are doing a great job for your community. Hope to see more, more and more from you again in the coming days
Looks like your solo meet up gone very well and you did lot of fun things. I like your photos in the Bangalore fort.if you can write something about Bangalore fort so we could know more about that,
How your edits getting approved, your trust level is very high in Google Maps.

Thank you so much for your comment, @ErmesT … The reason for no one joining this Meetup is that, I am now living in another state for my studies… But Vellore Local Guides community is in my hometown where I have a team of active contributing Local Guides who generally join me in Meetup which I organize in Vellore… This was the first time I am conducting a Meetup in Bangalore which the place new to me itself… I thought of meeting Local Guides of Bangalore by conducting here… I wish to see new Local Guides in the upcoming Meetups… And thanks again for your kind suggestions…

As you noticed, Many of my edits were approved right during the Meetup timing… I am happy for my trust level in Google Maps… It would be great if we could see how much our trust level is in Google Maps which make everyone of us to provide exact information to improve our trust level… right?? Thanks again !
Thanks for your kind words, dear @ShafiulB … Learned from your Meetup Recaps to take beautiful photos… Many Local Guides will join in the upcoming Meetup… Happy Guiding…
I am happy that you like my recap post, @RonneBD … Thanks for your kind words… The reason for little blur of first two photos is because I mistakenly captured before the camera stabilize… Happy Guiding…
Congratulations on a very interesting, inspiring meetup. It is wonderful to see the fabulous architecture and all the varieties of shapes and colours in all the different buildings and set up with the shops, markets and then at Bangalore Fort too. So lovely to view the area new for you with a new place you have moved to with your studies as well.
It is good to see the accessibility with the bus station entrance picture you have taken great photos that are very helpful for Google Maps and as excellent information for all who are using Google Maps to see the accessibility for all in those areas.
It is also interesting the size of the small buses, they are very small. It must be very hard for people with special needs to travel. But the actual for itself and in between the shops looks accessible. It would be great to see some specialised reports of the level of accessibility inside the actual shops as well.
The creative artistry in the roofing and all around the fort is very aesthetic and adds to the buildings a lot more in the difference from other places making it very unique to view.
