Hello everyone,
This is the Recap post of the Accessibility meetup held on 5th December, 4 pm-7 pm (IST). This meetup was a part of #AccessibleBengal, an initiative to update the Accessibility status on maps, by West Bengal Local Guides (WBLG).
During this meet-up Kalyani Railway station was visited and the followings were checked-
- Check the availability of handrail and ramps
- Check the availability of the accessible toilet
- Check the availability of the accessibility of the platform
- Check the accessibility of the ticket counter
- Check the availability of the accessible seating area and drinking water facility
- Check the availability of visual indication for vision impaired
About the above-mentioned points, here are some images with wheelchair accessible icon with marking for passed and marking for failed.
Ticket counter-
