A long view of the park with a wheelchair-accessible walkway.
Today I conducted my second meet-up on accessibility under the theme: Accessible Bangladesh. The venue of this meet-up was the Chandrima Udyan (park). I tried my best to cover the most Accessible places in this park. I want to give special thanks to @AbdullahAM and @Mohammadalauddin for joining me at that meet-up.
The Tactile Map of the park.
The meet was scheduled to start at 4.00 pm. We started the meet-up accordingly. The other above-mentioned two attendees made this meet-up very helpful. Together we started finding wheelchair-accessible places in the Chandrima Udyan
Wheelchair-accessible entrance. This chain is lifted when any wheelchair-user comes.
This Park has two main entrances. Both the entrances are Wheelchair-accessible with one little obstacle. There are chains in both the entrances to stop the biker to enter the park. There are guards on both the entrances who lift the chain if any wheelchair user comes and wants to enter the park.

The whole park is nicely surrounded by Wheelchair-accessible walkways. The walkways are clean and wheelchair-friendly. A wheelchair user can use these walkways smoothly without facing any obstacles.

The intersection of the walkways is also made nicely and wheelchair-friendly. A wheelchair user can change his/her walkways smoothly in the intersection like the photo below.
A smooth wheelchair-accessible intersection of walkways.
There are nicely built benches and dustbins in many places inside the park. From my idea benches, height will meet the height for any wheelchair user to use them. But the way to the benches from the walkway is covered with grass and mud. As a result, those benches cannot be used by any wheelchair user.
A suitable bench for disabled people, but it is difficult to reach it due to grass and mud.
The dustbins seemed higher to me for any wheelchair user to use them properly. The position of the dustbins is very close to walkways and wheelchair users can go there easily with their wheelchairs.
A dustbin. A lot of dustbins like this are available inside the park.
We found three important places that are not wheelchair-friendly. They are the Mosque, the Memorial Hall, and the Fitness Center. Though many people use these places every day, unfortunately, they are not wheelchair-accessible.

After checking the accessibilities, we ate guava, Jhal Muri and Ice-creams. During this time, we discussed our future plans for accessibility in Bangladesh. All of us agreed to work more for Wheelchair-Accessibility. Later, we said goodbye to each other.
