On Saturday, June 1 2024, I attended a meetup hosted by @AjitThite sir at Terrasinne Multicuisine Restaurant on FC Road in Pune.
This was my second meetup with Pune local guides. The venue was unique, with its name combining “Terra,” meaning Earth, and “Sinne,” meaning Cuisines.
Terrasinne is more than just a restaurant; it’s a place run by differently-abled individuals. It is operated by the inspiring Dr. Sonam Kapse, who has established a space that warmly welcomes everyone, especially individuals with disabilities, including those who use wheelchairs.
We settled down quickly and began interacting with each other, sharing experiences and insights.
The meetup was made more enriching with the involvement of local guides from around the world via Google Meet.
The menu offered a wide variety of Indian and international dishes, with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Each dish name on the menu was accompanied by a specific sign to use when placing your order.
We ordered our food using various hand signs and gestures to communicate with the staff, who were very polite and friendly. We tried Chicken overload pizza, Spaghetti pasta, Penne pasta, Dal makhani etc. The food was excellent.
After our meal, @AjitThite Sir distributed bookmarks and @TusharSuradkar Sir gave out beautiful cards that read, “I attended an India Local Guides Meetup.” All attendees signed the cards as a memory and took them home as souvenirs. We also received India Local Guides badges. Later, we had a photo session.
Overall, the meetup at Terrasinne Multicuisine Restaurant meetup was a memorable experience. The combination of a meaningful venue, delicious food, and interaction with like-minded people made it truly special. Thank you @AjitThite Sir for hosting such wonderful meetup.
