Always making a difference
She was in the aviation industry for 20 years where she worked with Jet Airways and Kingfisher Airlines. Her last portfolio was Vice President Network Planning & Charters where she oversaw the planning and implementation of 500 daily flights.
It was my privilege to participate in the event organized by her. “Urban Thinkers Campus on “Safe Public Spaces” from a Gender and Climate Resiliency Lens - Two day capacity building session with Government, NGOs, Corporate and Urban Planning / design professionals”
She decided to make a career switch in 2013 as she wanted to focus on empowering women and youth using technology.
Her platform Safecity documents sexual harassment and abuse in public spaces and is the largest crowd map on the issue in India, Kenya, Cameroon, Nigeria and Nepal.
She conducts workshops on sexual harassment awareness and has done so for over 5000 people in Mumbai, Delhi, Rajasthan and the US.
She has been listed as “Remarkable, Badass, Phenomenal, Womannnovator, Champion of Feminism”…but most of all I think ElsaMarie is a Woman of Substance who Makes a Difference.
