This is my sixth Accessibility Checkup under our Accessibility For All - The Movement in my districts Zilla Parishad(District Panchayat).Zilla Parishad is a very important part of India’s Administrative Services.
They are called as Mini Mantralay. It plays a huge role in Rural Development. All rural villages schemes are done from this institution. Each district(Hindi -Zilla) has one Zilla Parishad. A certain number of people are elected by voting from rural villages and they chose the president. This is Zilla Parishad of my district Washim. The building is new and has many accessibility features. The ground floor of the building is completely accessible but not the 2nd and 3rd floors.
The toilet of the buildng was accessible by Vision Impaied person but I think the entry was not sufficient for the Wheelchair. Other toilets were locked.

I remember when the news came about Washim being declared as a district but it is also surprising to know that it was way back in 1998.
They have built the Zilla Parishad building quite nice and modern and you have done a great job of capturing all the accessibility features through the photos.
