I love sharing photos and detailed comments as a local guide on Google Maps because I really believe that it helps the community in different ways. I love traveling and experiencing different places all the time and I know that when I travel I have limited time and I am very selective of the places I choose, because I don’t want to waste my time and money say with a mediocre cup of coffee when I could have the best in town. So the 1st thing I do is research, where is the best coffee, does the place serve vegan food, does it require reservations, is it casual, is it expensive, do locals go there or is it just a touristic spot, etc. etc. Tha’s why I love reviewing places because those are the information I personally look for when I want to go to a specific place, either a restaurant or a diner or a coffee place. I check the pictures, is it cute, is it fashionable, does food look instagrammable, is it crowded. I also encourage my friends to share their experiences because I genuinely believe that the more comments the better it is to form an objective opinion about a specific place. They can point out something I missed or they can provide more pictures with different angles that might have catch somebody’s attention. I think it’s great that we have such a platform that we can use for anything, anytime we want and I’m proud to be a part of it.
