Reasons to love being a Local Guide

On Facebook today, I was reminded of what I consider my first real trip. As I looked through many pictures from my time in Washington D.C. ten years ago, I decided to retrace some of the places I visited via Google Maps. One of the places was the [Smithsonian National Museum of African Art.](http://Smithsonian%20National Museum of African Art 950 Independence Ave SW, Washington, DC 20560 (202) 633-4600 https://maps.app.goo.gl/CoZcXDSBJ5AY7QGy9)

When looking at the map, lo and behold, I see a pin for a place ([Anna’s Place NOLA](http://Anna’s%20Place NOLA 1400 Independence Ave SW, Washington, DC 20250 (504) 947-2121 https://maps.app.goo.gl/2JmQFBQMEfJHUv1b8)) that is local to my city, New Orleans, Louisiana. I clicked on it and was able to make the suggestions needed so it would show up correctly.

I wonder how many times people went to Google Maps trying to find this place and were utterly confused as to why it was directing them to Washington D.C.

Glad I was able to catch and fix this!
