What does the Local Guides program mean to you?
It’s a community at its heart! A safe platform to get as creative as desired to share your experiences with other Googlers. The Local Guide Progam allows me to assist local businesses which is my passion. This affection inspired me to stop making excuses and start putting in the work to bring this to fruition.
It’s always been a personal goal of mine to get out there and travel the world, all was in order until a toxic relationship made me take a hard detour. Tis the time to get really real, and let you into a dark part of my life, part of the reason I was stagnant and forever fanboying from the sideline! As the toxicity progressed, I came to the realization that a change must be made to see out my vision! I ended that trainwreck relation$hit and went MIA for some self-recovery! This program has been instrumental in helping me build a single-ready-to mingle revival plan to ignite the Latino Heat back into my social life. RIP Eddie Guerrero, in peace.
In addition, this program has motivated me to get my finances in order so I could turn a repetitive dream into a reality - sharing my real adventures with the world! Telling my stories was a reason to invest in the tech to paint a pretty picture/video, two mediums that tingle my spidey senses with creative vibes! The community participation is well recognized and I love the Local Guides General email updates provided. These friendly reminders are truly appreciated, it feels good knowing your thoughts made an impact in any way.
Who doesn’t love a little competition? I am noticing the birth of a Mamba / Underdog Mentality that will only grow stronger once we are free to roam again. Once we are passed these dark quarantined times I will make it a top priority to be helpful to local businesses by making myself present and offering any professional support possible to help them bounce back during these hard economic times.
