Real Basque Cheesecake at La Vina in Donostia-San Sebastian, Spain

When it comes to Donostia-San Sebastian, it’s Basque country. And when it comes to Basque, you may imagine the pic of Basque cheesecake. And here you go.

I visited La Vina this is famous for Basque cheesecake on New Year’s Day. Of course, I had wanted to visit this place, so I made a phone call if they open on New Year’s eve or New Year’s day. And they told me that they close on New Year’S eve but open on New Year’s day.

Once you enter the bar/restaurant, you will see this shelf with tons of fresh Basque cheesecake. And it smells good.

I ordered the Basque cheesecake for two and it comes like this. One piece is kinda small slice but it’s very very creamy and rich which I really liked. Once you have this, you will feel satisfied with the real Basque cheesecake.

Also, they have some pintxos and regular menu for lunch and dinner, so I’d love to try it next time. But first, you should try Basque cheesecake
