Reaching Level 10 three times : A Journey of Resilience and Redemption

In the heart of my Local Guides journey, I encountered a game-changer— @AdamGT 's Leaderboards and health check system at Top100localguides. Little did I know that this discovery would lead me to a rollercoaster of challenges and triumphs, ultimately shaping my path to Level 10 not once, but three times

Over a year ago, I embarked on a serious commitment to contribute meaningfully to the community. With dedication, I soared to Level 10, only to face a setback as I stumbled upon hidden contributions. Determined to cleanse my record, I delved into the archives, meticulously removing undesirable photos. This journey saw me gracefully descend to Level 9, but it was only a temporary setback.

With unwavering perseverance, I reclaimed Level 10, fueled by a commitment to regular contributions. Yet, hidden reviews and ratings lingered in the shadows, prompting another daring decision. Overcoming adversity, I courageously eliminated over 1500 reviews and ratings, witnessing my points shrink from 103,000 to ~82,000.

Undeterred, I embraced the slow and steady climb back to Level 10. Each contribution became a step forward, a testament to my resilience. In this transformative journey, I found solace in sharing my experiences on Local Guides Connect, connecting with a community that echoed my passion.

Reflecting on this journey, I am convinced that without @AdamGT 's Top100localguides , my story would have taken a different turn. The competitive spirit it ignited within me became a catalyst for self-improvement and growth. Today, as I ascend to Level 10 once more, I carry with me the lessons of redemption, resilience, and the joy of uncovering hidden gems—both on maps and within myself. Here’s to the thriving community that shaped my journey, and to the countless adventures that lie ahead in the world of Local Guide

@Trail_blazer what an incredible journey you have had. Your experience, dedication and resilience are inspiring. Pleased to see Top 100 @AdamGT helped you in your transformative journey. Thank you for sharing. Would you provide detailed steps on how you identified and removed hidden photos?

@PrasadVR No, I didn’t remove tons of hidden photos because in cleaning, that’s the most difficult part. You can delete hidden review because they are in limited numbers, so they can be pinned using two devices. Run your normal profile on one while running the same profile in incognito mode on the other device to delete hidden ones. But finding hidden photos is the most challenging thing, as there are a huge number of photos. I did delete around a hundred photos, but for that, I used sorting by views, reached the bottom, and deleted photos with views in tens. Though not all of them were hidden, their visibility was very poor and attracted almost no views at all for years.

Well done on your dedication, determination and obvious commitment to undue what’s not right and do it again right @Trail_blazer and I’m really pleased to hear you say that the Leaderboards and the System behind them have helped you on your journey. I’ve often said that there’s more to the Leaderboards than just ranking of Local Guides and you’re a testament of this. Congratulations.
