F*ck yeah, we just hit the jackpot with 8 "O"s with 6,616 photos, an average of 15,122 views per photo, mate!
I’ve been waiting for this moment for good and it eventually happened just now and I genuinely felt a sense of achievement.
Originally, I expected to hit 100M around July but did it a month and a half earlier. I officially defeated most of my local guide rivals who had more views than me back then with 8-digit views. These Taiwanese rivals are quite competent especially in popular spots such as night markets, department stores, restaurants with a significant number of reviews (more than 5,000 up to 25,000).
I usually felt frustrated when my photo got eliminated by other local guides but nowadays I am accustomed to that much more.
To sum up, today is definitely one of the most special day in my life, 16th May 2025, LET’S-A-GO!
Moreover, meanwhile, I have a total of 1,605,796 views for 676 reviews.
Congratulations are in order, fo sho, @Porex_2107_2024! Wow. You’ve really put a lot of work into contributing. Your reviews are great, too, btw.
I can’t tell you the fastest time to 100mil views, but I can tell you that 30 other Level 8s have you beat on the Top 100 Photo ViewsLeaderboard. If you’re interested in a little friendly competition with your co-LGs, I think you’d be an AMAZING addition to the boards.
Thank you for your great work making Connect more colorful and making the Map more useful for 100,000,000 pairs of eyes.
can you also made your profile visible?
Now is hide
So that we can look at your work and picture posted and learn something; kind of pictures, portrait vs visibility, angle etc.
Congratulations that’s a massive achievement. I have been on maps for more than 13 years. It took me years to reach 100 Million views. Now I have some 11k photos with 160 Million views. But over the time what I noticed that taking good shots at right place at right time is the most crucial thing. Taiwan is a tourist rich spot while in India population is massive however not a many are using Google maps but the number is likely to get up, but by then most of our contributions will be deep buried or will be taken over by better shots. Your data sheet is crazy if you have any inputs to share please share. Btw we are not in direct competition
Congratulations on such a remarkable performance @Porex_2107_2024. Just keep on doing the good stuff. I have 25 million views after 9 years, so you’re somehow getting it right.
The link you provided to your profile is working, but what @MarcoDavoli was asking for is to actually link your Google Maps profile to your Connect profile. In the Connect profile page there’s an option to check a box that says “Display my Google Maps profile link publicly”.
Huge Congratulations @Porex_2107_2024 This are astronomical and amazing numbers.
