Re: International Month of Monuments - Google Local Guides Connect Sydney Monumental Accessibility

Google Local Guides Connect Sydney Monumental Accessibility meet-up

Meet us at 11am Saturday 30th September 2017 at the Milsons Point Playground at Bradfield Park Milsons Point for Google Local Guides Connect Sydney Monumental Accessibility meet-up Hi all Google Local Guides Connect team.
This is a request everyone to join in on a Monumental Accessibility walk across Sydney Harbour Bridge.

We will meet at the Milson’s Point Playground area at the top of Bradfield Park at Milson’s Point at 11am Saturday 30th September 2017.

Google Local Guides Connect Monumental Accessibility

This is an event to mark all accessibility points for people who need to know where train access is and toilets and easy wheelchair accessible entry to take the glorious walk across the bridge.

Then we can find the easiest and most wheelchair accessible path way across to Observatory house. Then finish by finding and marking maps all the way for the easiest and most wheelchair accessible way down to the Circular Quay for ice-cream and food. We can find the best of the restaurants on Circular Quay for Wheelchair accessibility and easy for wheelchair accessible toilets. As well as making sure to mark all the Circular Quay ticket boxes and Toilets and elevators for the trains to make sure all wheelchair accessibility areas at Sydney’s Monumental Circular Quay are marked on Google Maps for all to find everything required for easy accessibility easily.

No cost except what you eat.

Bring all your friends and family, let’s really try to meet this goal.
Mark all the wheelchair accessible points across the Sydney Harbour Bridge

on the way and at the quay!

Thank you all in advance xx

Hi @HelloSamsonR ,

Thank you so much for your kindness. It is a little challenging getting set up with the best most accessible way up to the bridge.

But we will get there. Plus show all accessibility as well.

Shine on. Have a great weekend.

Cheers

Hi @DavidTito

Thank you for all your support and kindness. I really appreciate all your help.

The Cerebral Palsy Alliance has had an event on called Steptember. It was a fund raising event that was to get people to raise funds for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance by taking 10,000 steps.

Perhaps if we can get 10 people there we can all take 1,000 steps on our walk and that will make a 10,000 steps event! It is worth the try, I hope we can give it a go! If everyone brings all their friends and family, It would be great to meet this goal.

I contacted the Cerebral Palsy Alliance to let them know we are doing this walk. They are thrilled and absolutely love what the Google Local Guides Connect team and members have done all around the world to assist with accessibility. They asked me to post it on Social Media, I said we will and also spoke of continued notifications and connection via Google+ and here on Google Local Guides Connect as well! Again they were very impressed and happy to have this event and prospect of other future events as well!

We may have some people from there joining in tomorrow. They are sending out emails to all their teams, plus encouraging those who want to use this Google Local Guides Connect walk as part of their Steptember event for all who want to finish with this, or just join in the Google Local Guides Connect event for fun! There was also the fact that we are filling in the Google Maps with all accessibility points of easy access for all who need it. I spoke to them of speaking with their carers about having the Google Maps app on their phones so that they can also join Google Local Guides Connect themselves and in that do reviews about easily accessible places suited also. They thought it was a super idea and are very interested and were going to also address this in their email to their staff.

How cool if we also get some people from the CP Alliance to join us for our walk. Plus as an extra last day bonus for STEPTEMBER anyone who needs to finish off their 10,000 steps, this can be the way. mark all the wheelchair accessible points on the way and at the quay!

Looking forward to a great morning.

Thanks again.

Hello @IlankovanT

Thank you very much for your kindness and support. It means a lot to get support from Google Local Guides Connect team.

I hope that it will go well.

As I said to @DavidTito earlier, I have tried to also include people who need to know about Google Local Guides Connect accessibility month. Plus to be able to make best use of the Google Maps app for carers and people who use wheelchairs as well. I told them we can make this walk about Google Local Guides Connect Sydney Monumental Accessibility meet-up plus for the last day of The Cerebral Palsy Alliance Steptember finish 10,000 steps. As I said to David, they are very excited about it all and are interested in the Google Maps app plus mapping all the best places for accessibility.Plus about using Google+ to get the best most extensive connections in future events.

I hope all goes well tomorrow and am very thankful for yous, and all the GLGC teams support and kindness.

Best wishes
