I would like to tell you about a great experience… make your own pasta with your hands!!
La pasta is the most known italian food and in Italy we used to eat it once a day, it is never fails in our diet.
Few days ago i’ve tried to make my own pasta in a cooking class in a farm house near Florence and it isn’t so hard.
Just few steps
1 - Mix flour, water and eggs with hands
2 - Roll out the " impasto " with a rolling pin or a special machine
3 - put the filling of " spinaci e ricotta" ( fresh cheese and spinach ) on a small circle of pasta and close with other circle
Here you can use all your imagination for the fill!
And DA DAN !! the Ravioli !!
With the same steps you can make every kind of pasta, Just free your imagination
And if you are in Italy you need to look fo a cooking class, it is a great experience where you can learn a lot

Hi @Diste ,
I can only say “Bravo”. It’s true that it takes a little bit more time to prepare pasta at home, but the satisfaction and the taste repays all. I see that you are from near Florence, and I think that exactly in Florence market they arrange from time to time courses in order to teach how to make pasta at home. Have you heard about it?

What good memories and lunches I have made with these ravioli!
In the family it was traditional to make pasta at home, tagliatelle or ravioli were not lacking every Sunday!
And what about gnocchi?
Thanks so much @Diste for your post!
ps: from which city of Italy do you come from?
Bye,
David

@Sorbe isn’t that the truth. The time needed to make things at home takes a lot of time. However, the flavour and the satisfaction make it worthwhile.
