Vijayadaśamī aka Dussehra is a Hindu festival, with a moto “God over Evil” Hindu god Ram saved humanity from a good human, Ravana who turned Evil along with his 2 brothers & how lord RAM saved humanity from their curs.
For, 4 days we enjoy this festival by eating good food, meet-and-greet with family and friends and On The Dussehra Day (19th Oct.) Effigies of Ravana + his brothers are burned across the country. And, everyone enjoys the spirit of “God over Evil”
What is the purpose of this character?
This character is called “Ravana” mostly know as a depiction of Evilness in our life
Is it a popular festival?
Its a very popular festival of Hindus & the whole country participates with pump & joy
