Rating Wheelchair Accessibility on Google Maps

Hello Local Guides! I’m hoping you can help me. I’m looking to talk with anyone who has experience in rating businesses for accessibility that was introduced in 2017. In particular, would like to speak to someone from Canada and also users with Iphones or Macs however any expert information welcomed! I am working on a strategy for Destination British Columbia to provide more information on accessibility to our visitors. Thanks in advance!

Hi @mmccormi you can do this for many (but not all) businesses by opening the Maps entry and under the icons for directions, call, save etc, there are indicators of what the place is like. If you select those you can set all the accessibility indicators as appropriate for that business.

Thank you @PaulPavlinovich for your reply! Are you familiar with rating places on your iPhone vs Android? Can ratings be done on an iPhone?

I’ve been trying to find information that says whether you can or cannot @mmccormi and I’ve been unable to find anything in the support library.

I’ll share some screen shots of what I see/do on Android - perhaps you can see if iPhone has same/similar based on what I share below

Hope this helps @mmccormi

Hi @mmccormi , here is a screen shot of how Birmingham Airport (UK) looks in Safari on my MacBook. Rating an airport for wheelchair accessibility is different to rating a restaurant or a place of interest as there are many features within the airport that would be useful to a wheelchair user. for example car park spaces, railway station access, special assistance offices.
