Ratatouille triggered my passion to review!

In the summer of 2007 I was in Paris I went to the cinema and I saw the movie Ratatouille

I loved it!

I very much liked the end of the movie when Anton Ego wrote his review of Gusteau’s restaurant.

Anton Ego wrote: ”In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little, yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the new. The world is often unkind to new talent, new creations. The new needs friends. Last night, I experienced something new: an extraordinary meal from a singularly unexpected source. To say that both the meal and its maker have challenged my preconceptions about fine cooking is a gross understatement. They have rocked me to my core. In the past, I have made no secret of my disdain for Chef Gusteau’s famous motto, “Anyone can cook.” But I realize, only now do I truly understand what he meant. Not everyone can become a great artist but a great artist can come from anywhere. It is difficult to imagine more humble origins than those of the genius now cooking at Gusteau’s, who is, in this critic’s opinion, nothing less than the finest chef in France. I will be returning to Gusteau’s soon, hungry for more.”

I think back and I believe that was the moment when I was thinking that a “job” as a critic would suit me and I would love that work. Driven by that thought sometime later I become a local guide to do my part in this wonderful community where people from all around the world can benefit from my reviews, my pictures, and my ratings.

As a Local Guide, the first thing that I do is to make sure to pay attention to details that might be of interest for other people and I am taking me as an example and I ask myself what I would like to know about a particular place that I’m looking on Google Maps. So what I love to share most are pictures about how a place looks pictures about important announcements of some facilities pictures of new places I create I also love to share my true opinion about restaurants hotels and other places by posting detailed reviews.

I love to find small businesses or facilities which are not listed on Google Maps and to be the first one to create a new place.

Greetings from Romania!
