Rasalgad Fort in the Morey Clan Javli Territory
Location**:-** Rasalgad Fort , khed ,Konkan
This fort was held captive by the More of Javli (जावळी चे मोरे) , from whom Shivaji Maharaj took it. In 1818, British forces took it from the Peshwas. After that, Peshwa established his fort in Rasalgad.
There is a well-maintained storage. Chakdev and Parvatgad are seen from the Fort.
Based on the information provided above, it was previously stated that the fort had only 16 guns. The 17th cannon was half-broken in front of the granary.
Then on January 23, 2022, the Sahyadri Pratishthan hauled out the 18th cannon that was resting in the valley 400 feet east of the fort and installed it in front of the Zolai Devi temple. The fort contains temples dedicated to the two goddesses Solai and Waghai, each with intricate carvings

I am beyond words to express how amazing this fort is.
I never heard of it before, but your photos do a wonderful job of portraying it in a beautiful way @Praniketmore
Do you or your forefathers belong to the Morey clan who ruled in the region in medieval times?
I must go there and maybe during the monsoon season.

@RosyKohli When I was in school in 2008, the road to Fort Footstep was a trail, and no vehicle or bike could go there. However, in 2013, our MLA donated a large sum of money to repair the fort and the road, so now local buses travel to Rasalwadi, and the road to Fort Footstep can be reached in 2 minutes from the first fort gate…Now, anyone can easily approach the fort by car or bike, and the road is also more wide and of good quality. So main post is our gov now take or eyes on all fort on there conditions. Which is remarkable
