Rare ‘super blue blood moon’

A “super moon” occurs when a full moon falls at the same time as its perigee, which is the closest point of the moon’s orbit with the Earth. This makes the moon larger and brighter by 14%, according to NASA.

Thanks for sharing this photo. Yesterday I was coming back home from work and noticed the Moon. It was huge looming over the boulevard. I couldnt take a picture thought, but I am glad you managed to do it and post it here.
