At the beginning of this year, I went on a trip to Rangamati. This trip was organized by USDC (ULAB Sustainable Development Club) and ULC (ULAB Language Club). It was my very first trip out of Dhaka without my family. I was acting excited and confident, but the truth is I was really very scared, and nervous about what will I do there and how am I going to manage everything. But with the support of my roommate and organizer, everything sorted out smoothly. I get my bus in front of my university as the trip was organized by two clubs of ULAB (University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh). But other people can go by Hanif Enterprise. Which start journey from different points of Dhaka, and will cost them BDT 620 to 1400 per person. Hanif Enterprise will drop you in Reserve Bazar. You can check-in the “Hotel Green Castle” which is next to the Hanif Enterprise bus stop.
(Hotel Green Castle)
For two days we had to pay BDT 900 per person in the hotel. The first day we visited a school and nearby places, like as; Moanoghar school, a temple, a park, etc. At dinner, we had grilled chicken.
(Dinner of the first day)
On the second day, we traveled all day long in a boat. The boat capacity was about 50 persons, and it costs us BDT 6000. All-day long we traveled in the boat from Reserve Bazar to Mejang Restaurant, via Rangamati hanging bridge, Buddist temple, couple fountains.
(Reserve Bazar boatstand)
(Rangamati hanging bridge)
(Local Bazar.)
(Buddist temple)
(Infront of the fountains)
(Breakfast of the second day)
In this journey, the food cost will depend on what do you want to eat and where do you want to eat. The breakfast of the second day cost me only BDT 35.
After all, I would like to say that the trip was a really good experience and precious experience. And one last suggestion for everyone. Must have a cup of tea from the tea stall type restaurant in the lane beside “Hotel Green Castel”. It’s good .
