The Historical Ram Janaki Temple( Ram Janaki Mandir) is situated in Janakpur zone of Nepal. At the heart of Janakpur lies the marble “Janaki Mandir”, one of the grander pieces of architecture in Nepal. It was built by Tikamgarh queen and looks like a palace.The temple is an example of Rajput architecture This temple is also known as “NAU LAKHA” temple and “SITA PALACE”. This is home town of and dedicated to goddess SITA , the wife of Rama and heroine of the Ramayana. Every year, thousands of peoples, pilgrims, saints and devotees from Nepal, India, Sri Lanka and other countries visit Ram Janaki Temple to worship Lord Ram and Sita. Many worshippers visit the temple during the festivals of Ram Nawami, Vivaha Panchami, Dashain and Tihar. The temple is also a cultural heritage for Maithili people. According to the calendar of the temple, most of the activities have been done according to the Mithila method till birth to death We are just going to see the Ram Janaki Mandir along with some of our members from Mid Nepal local guides.
