The Rajon Ki Baoli is a medieval stepwell located within the Mehrauli Archeological Park in Delhi.
The stepwell is rectangular in shape and surprisingly there are no steps that gradually lead to the water from all sides. The stepwell has a magnificent structure built around and perhaps served as changing rooms or restrooms. Very narrow staircases that can barely accommodate a single person on one side are available at several places to climb to the next level.

On the ground level are beautiful arches that serve as attractive photo opportunities. The cool stone structure stands serene and silent shrouded in the awful Delhi smog. Although the monument is closed after sunset, the presence of Alcoves that are small recessed sections of the rooms and arches typically used to place oil lamps suggest that this place was used for social and cultural gatherings even during night times.
Meanwhile, the Mehrauli Archeological Park in Delhi is adjacent to the Qutub Minar and spread over almost 200 acres. The park is studded with medieval monuments that are in good condition and a treat to the eyes for both history buffs and casual visitors alike. The park has several entrances and is fenced with lush green trees within. The archeological park has well-paved paths for walking and direction posts to access the monuments, though vehicles and pets are not allowed.
