Raincouver - Vancouver recommendations

If you travel to Vancouver

You must use an umbrella or do not forget to take it. As well as waterproof clothes.

Some tips to save money:

The transport here is very simple only with a card (compasscard) you have access to the skytrain, seabus, buses.

The city is divided into three zones, so if you come to visit I recommend you stay in zone 1, so you do not spend much.

You can buy a daily pass, but in case you go for more than 11 days you should buy the monthly card (compasscard). Because per1 month the cost is 95CAD.

DayPasses are available at Tourism Vancouver’s Visitor Centre, from ticket machines in SkyTrain and SeaBus stations, and from select London Drugs locations. the cost is 10.25 CAD

Do not forget to check the weather for the days of your stay.

To save on food, you can buy at dollar stores, no frills, super store, so you can buy juices, bread for sandwiches, ham, cheese or tuna, etc.

If you want to try a hamburger, I recommend the A & W, they are tasty, not greasy.

As well as fresh slide pizzas, tasty, rich and cheap.

Do not forget to stop by Tim Hortons for your coffee.

If you’re not disgusting and delicate you can go visit the Thrift Store. Yes!! the famous army of Salvation, there you can find clothes, footwear, antiques, jewelry, sports items, toys, etc.

I have found good things, choose a thrift store from a good area, North Vancuver for example. A 5CAD hat, a snow jacket in 15CAD. recognized brand and good condition. Also a French press.

In short, it is only a recommendation.

Great suggestions! One HUGE food experience you missed talking about in Vancouver is the SUSHI!! Here’s a list of Top 10 sushi spots to check out in Vancouver, however if you can’t make it to one of these spots there are plenty other great options I’m sure you won’t have a hard time finding somewhere.

Thank you very much for your suggestion. Just talk about very cheap places to eat when you want to save money.
