Raghuveer Ghat - The entryway to the walk in the clouds.

Raghuveer Ghat - The entryway to the walk in the clouds.

Location: Raghuveer Ghat (रघुवीर घाट)

This is one of Khed Konkan’s hidden magnificent ghats, close to Jawli Khor during the rainy season. It feels like the entrance to heaven. The ghat work began in 1990 and was finished in 2002. These ghats connect villages such as Shindi, Valvan, uchat, and Kandadt to the city of Khed. Mahiman Gad, a fort near the Koyna backwater, is located near the ghats, which can reach heights of up to 4200 feet above mean sea level. The two big water pond is located on mahimangad, and some canons mention the Maratha Empire in Konkan.

The ghat has only one hotel on top, which is nicely created with two huts and 4/5 room lodgin. Also, in the rainy season, the wind pressure kicks you and full day has a foggy atmosphere, the clouds look downward and you may stroll in them.

When we traveled some distance to Shindi village on the left side, we noticed very high forest lines, which are dreadful in height, and that spot one Shivalay, now known as Mallikarjun, which is built in the Hemadpanthi style. The ground water spring from these areas, which are near to the Koyna backwater, has water throughout the year, even the summer season.

Tejas Thakare, the son of the Shivsena Party chairman in Maharashtra, registered this crab species in 2016. The work was published in Zootaxa. They call this crab Gubernatoriana thackerayi.

In the Konkan western region Many of the same sites and ghats are still hidden, and now the government is attempting to construct strong tourist connections to create theme tourist spots and showcase their natural beauty around the globe. The best time to visit this ghat is during the rainy season, when you can enjoy the wet beauty and nature.

:wheelchair: Accessibility :

The top ghat is wheelchair accessible, and while the hotel does not have an accessible rampway for people, the surrounding nature and summit point, which have a nice road and pathway, are easy to navigate.

:plate_with_cutlery: Where to eat :

. On top of the ghat, there is one hotel that is ideal for all fresh snacks and fridge things. The hotel offers distinctive kandabhaji, vaadapav, and tea, as well as dinner and breakfast facilities.

:earth_africa: How to go there :

You may easily get there from Khed city by taking the Mumbai Goa Highway and turning left at Khopi fata from Khed Railway Station, then driving towards Khopi village. Then, take a left from Khopi village into the Shindi village road, and you will arrive at the ghat. You can also get there via public transportation, which is the Khed-Shindi village bus, which only runs twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening, therefore it is advisable to bring your own vehicle.

Ein wunderschöner Beitrag und die Bilder von der Landschaft sind kaum zu beschreiben, einfach umwerfend.

Die Regierung soll nur aufpassen, dass diese Schönheit nicht durch zu viele Touristen zerstört wird

Thank you, @Annaelisa Yes, there are no restrictions for tourists or any guidelines. When we go there, it suddenly rains heavily and the climate changes, which is terrifying, and we never stand there because of the heavy clouds and wind flow. On the lake pond, some people died due to water flow and pressure. Yes, they need to provide guidelines for climate change or at less rainy times.

Thank you @ShubhamWaman for appreciating and reading my post. The crabs are approximately 0.5 inches in size and have a dark and elegant red color that is visible from a distance. They are a delicate species that should be handled easyly they not bite you.

Thank you, @TravellerG Sir Ravi, for reading my post and your appreciation.

I apologize for making a mistake in the height of the fort, and I have corrected it. 4200 is the correct height of the fort from mean sea level
