When we plan to visit a new place, it becomes much easier to get information about the place with the help of Google Maps. But often a different photo and review are seen than the place here so it becomes difficult to get accurate information about that place and incoming tourists do not get the correct information on the map.
The main reason for organizing Unity Walk Spam Free Maps Gujarat Meetup was to remove this spam from the Google maps. So that the incoming tourists as well as the locals get the correct information.
The TikTok application has been banned in India but some of the video makers have found the Google Maps platform and they are adding their own videos on the map. Which is a very serious matter. I request the Google Maps team to make the necessary arrangements to prevent such videos from being uploaded to the map. For this, watermarked videos like TikTok, Likee, Snapchat, etc. should be removed from the appropriate filter.
During my meetup, I reported on several such locations to remove unnecessary photos, videos, and reviews. In the meantime, I reported a total of 70 spammers to the local guide.
The spam-free campaign is not limited to meetups, I will always do my best to ensure that everyone has the correct information in Google Maps.
