Qutub minar: The Tallest Brick Minaret in the world.

Morning Magic (Always better to go at Morning as there is no rush in fact you can hear bird chirping

A victory tower built on the order of Qutab-ud-din Aibak in 1193.
Let me tell you some lesser known fact about Qutub Minar-
It is the tallest minaret (73 meters) in India.

It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

It took about 75 years to build.
The building process was initiated by Qutub-ud-din Aibak in 1192 and finished by Iltutmish.

The government of India restricted climbing the minor after 1981, for 45 people were killed before that.

The seminar has 379 steps, is 72.5 meters high and has a base diameter of 14.3 meters, which narrows to 2.7 meters at the top.

Hey @AdiSupertramp ,

Thank you for sharing with us this amazing building. When did you visited it?

I am curious to know more about this place, is it possible to go on the top to see the view?

Hii @Sorbe @
Actually, I live just a mile away from Qutub Minar so whenever I got the time on weekends I love to visit this beautiful place and No it is not allowed to climb the Minar as approx.100 school children died during climbing the narrow steps of Minar in 1980 so yeah government restricted to climb the Minar. The only researcher with special permission can climb it to the top. Although in future there are chances that they will lift up the restriction.

Thank you for your clarifications @AdiSupertramp ,

I have always had a soft spot for towers and I lived and studied close to one of the most important ones in the planet. As a gift for your information regarding the Minaret I will offer you a picture of the Leaning Tower of Pisa in all it’s majesty during the celebrations of June from last year.
