When i go to places i click the photos there,but sometimes can’t get the chance to upload them. Tommorow i got some time and decided to upload some photos. Now when i click post the screen opens of obtaining points but it doesn’t actually gives me points when i go in profile. Also no notification appears of google maps uploading my photos and it doesn’t appear on the place. So my question is why my photos are not uploading. Is it due to uploading a large no. Of photos in small time…plzzz help

Dear @Vishesh1 ,

I can see your recent reviews published publically however only 641 photos are publically published out of total 816 photos you have uploaded.

Now your query has two parts:

1. Related to Points: I have checked your profile dashboard and as per your total contributions as on date the correct point 8809 is already reflecting. You may wish to re compute your points. These are there.

2. Related to hidden Photos:

You are uploading the photos but they do not appear on the specific POI, which means your photos are hidden due to one or many reasons. At times, photo gets hidden because of voilation of the policies.

In order to get this sorted, you may follow the below steps:

  1. Request you to go through the Map Policies and also about Prohibited Contents. Also, read this post on Avoid uploading duplicates and similar pics by @MortenCopenhagen . This post will give you fair understanding about duplicate and redundant photos.
  2. If you find your contributions complying to the policy, you may fill out the Account Investigation Form for re-instating your review. The investigation process takes sometime and if it is found okay, they will be made public.

Thanks for the reply @Kumaarsantosh . I read the policies of posting and prohibited contents. One more question is is it okay to upload my pics e.g the pics in which i am in the photo cause that photos also gives a idea about location ex- i posted a photo of me with taj mahal. Is it okay or it violates any policies. Should i just post only photo of taj mahal in which i am present? Does any photo which includes a person e.g. taj mahal example violates the policies of google?

By and large, while contributing as a LG on maps, selfies should be avoided @Vishesh1 .
