About a month or so ago I noticed my photo views and graphs under the contribute button was no longer updating live. I use to be able to refresh and see the views go up but now it will only update every few days. Why is this? Is there a way to fix this?

The view counter under individual photos is still updated pretty much in real time but the total photo views and total views have always been updated only once or twice per week. This is normal.

Odd just afew weeks ago this would update live, which now it has stopped and doesn’t update live, so it couldn’t of always not updated live since it was updating live afew weeks ago. Maybe a country thing?

The total view of the photos does not update in real time, @abcdabcd , while the view of the single photos is updated in real time, as explained by @MortenCopenhagen .
A week ago, for a few days, Maps updated information (views and points) twice a day, however that was an exception, not the “normal” update process.
It’s not a country related thing and refreshing the page doesn’t help. Views and other data related to our contributions are updated almost simultaneously for more than 150 million Local Guides. Given the number of contributions to be updated, the activity requires the use of considerable computing power. Power that Google often deems necessary instead to address higher priority activities.
This is not a problem, but simply a choice of Google Maps, which I personally agree with.
I would be able to see the count update when i would close and open the contributions tab, I would literally see jump in views within a matter of 30 or so seconds, so its confusing im not being told it never has

Thats quite odd, I understand the reasoning but now I am confused on how it was updating every few seconds afew weeks ago?
To see live increases in the number of views is possible for sure when you look at the individual photos, but not when you look at the total photoviews number.
