Hi there people. I’m very proud to be one of the local guides and proud of what I’ve been trying my optimum best to do to help people out by contributing on Google maps. Last night, I made two lists, listing delicious desserts and top shopping malls respectively and made them public. I’d like to ask how and where would they appear on local guides connect? I posted the link to my lists to one of the posts in the comments section but I can’t see it anywhere on local guides connect please share some light on it for me…

List created in Google Maps remains in Google Maps.
They don’t automatically appear in localguidesconnect.com.
The only way your list in Google Maps (public) can appear is localguidesconnect.com is when you share the link on the website.
That’s my observation. I stand for correction if there’s any. Thanks

@Hassan_ali30 the lists remain on Maps and they don’t show up here automatically. And you don’t need to share here if you have created them to apply for Connect live. Just share link to one of them in the application.

I tried to share a link to a list in a post and it was rejected. Is that normal?

@Denise_Barlock I think they haven’t rejected it. Sometimes we see some error in the HTML and that is why it doesn’t save. But If you can enter it correctly it will save. Sometimes pressing the post button again gets it published.

Yes I actually want my lists on Google maps to appear on local guides connect but where exactly do I share the link? Under which post and using what kinda hashtag. This is what I really want to know

Oh Saifi, that has certainly answered my query thank you so much and I have no hindrance in selecting your answer as “Accepted as solution”… Yes but I have many links created, should I share the optimum one of them at the time of the submission of the application? And can I create the post for Connect Live now and share it later next month when I submit my application? Thanks again

@Hassan_ali30 Yes, share the unique and interesting one when applying for connecting 19. Yes, you can always create a post here to share your beautiful lists with us. Just write some details about the list and don’t just put the link on the description of the post. In this case, ’ Local Stories’ would be the best category for your post. Hope this helps. Any question is always more than welcome.
