Query on how to send feedback on wrong navigation directions

Steps to report wrong directions from this link https://support.google.com/maps/answer/6194894

Seems to only be available on Desktop Maps. Not present in Android or iOS devices.

But following the instructions, there doesn’t seem to be a Send Feedback link at the bottom right of the Map. Can someone help clarify.

As described by the link above

  1. On your computer, open Google Maps.
  2. Click Directions Directions.
  3. Enter the starting point and destination for the route for which your directions were wrong.
  4. On the left, click on a route description for step-by-step directions.
  5. In the bottom right of the map, click Send feedback.

Hi @StephenAbraham ,

Not every direction are the same.

The Desktop method is only for Driving directions.

For Android Maps, there is no special reporting tools for Directions, to the best of my knowledge.

Thus we have to use Send Feedback in Maps. The best is when the suggested direction is show in the screen, so that a screen shot will be included in the feedback.

The only questions is how to invoke Send Feedback without leaving the screen. There are two ways, so far:

  1. Enable “Shake to Send feedback” in Maps settings. Then shake our mobile when needed.

  2. When we slide our finger from the left edge towards the right, the Maps Menu should open (in Android Maps), then choose Send Feedback.

Hi @StephenAbraham ,

Further more, in certain regions, Maps will ask you to provide feedback after a driving session is done.

Not sure if it is deployed in your region or not.

I see that in Canada since July. In Dubai currently. But not in HK as of start of Oct.
