O Queijo Serra da Estrela é um queijo português feito 100% com leite de ovelha, e com denominação de origem controlada. A sua antiguidade remonta ao século XII, tornando-o num dos queijos portugueses mais antigos. É na Serra da Estrela que pastam as ovelhas de raça Bordaleira da Serra da Estrela e de raça Churra Mondegueira, que dão o leite para o queijo da Serra. De pasta amanteigada, faz as delicias barrado em pão escuro de centeio, acompanhado com um copo de vinho tinto!
