During this month-long quarantine, I ate snacks every afternoon. I believe you also ate snacks every day. Today I am just sharing photos of some snacks which I ate during this lockdown time.
**Peanuts/**বাদাম:
Nuts are good for health. I bought 1kg nuts to eat during this quarantine time. All the members of my family love to eat nuts now and then. Especially when we watch television we like to eat some nuts.
Shemai/Vermicelli/সেমাই:
Though Shemai is eaten as a dessert, it can also be eaten as evening snacks. You can make it easily at home by using Shemai, milk, sugar, and salt. You can see this video for more.
Jhal Muri/ ঝালমুড়িঃ
You need to boil and fry the nuts with spices first. Then you can eat them with or without puffed rice. In Bangladesh, we add Piyazu, Chanachur, Beguni, and sometimes Jalebi. During the Ramadan, this mixed snack is very popular in Bangladesh at the time of Iftar. I have a post on how to make this Jhal Muri.
Mixed Noodles:
As its name- it is a mixture of vegetables, eggs, and noodles. My daughter likes these mixed noodles with tomato sauce. I think many of you like these mixed noodles. If you any photo of the mixed noodles you eat, please share it with us.
Chaal Biriyani/ চাল বিরিয়ানিঃ
I am not sure whether this snack is eaten anywhere in Bangladesh but in my district, Tangail, it is a popular snack during winter or rainy day. Do not be confused with the name biriyani, it is not a full phase biriyani at all
. You need rice, spices, eggs or meat, oil, and salt to make this. Fry the spices, pour rice and water, close the lid of the pan for sometimes until the rice becomes soft then stir for a few minutes. You can see a video here on how to to make this delicious snack.
We like to see the photos or recipes of the snacks you eat during this quarantine time. Thanks. I like to invite my friends @Austinelewex @Ant_Bad_Yogi @FalguniP @Nyainurjanah and @955HIRO to this post.
