Quality vs Quantity - What's most important when you write a review?

Nowadays, everyone is sharing personal moments, thoughts and opinions on social networks. Communication between people is never been so immediate! With such a high quantity of data and information, sometimes it may be hard to find what you are looking for. Quality is, indeed, what we need!

I am not a social media addicted and I am active mainly on Google Maps. I think that the reviews, pictures, and videos I share on Google Maps turn out to be useful for most of my readers.

Since I wrote the first review a couple of years ago, I always tried to be as objective and reliable as possible. At the same time, patient and most generous when it comes to rating and descriptions.

But Maps is not only about venues, opening times and menus. Each place has a story, a culture, a social background and, of course, some hidden facts! As a Local Guide, this is what I love to share!

I think that active Guides should be responsible for the qualitative improvement of the contents, writing about hidden gems, while providing valuable and educational reviews.

What about you? What do you like to share?

Ciao,

Maurizio

P.s.: Greeting from my workplace, Valentino Castle, Turin - Italy. Did you know that Valentino Castle has been included in the of the UNESCO World Heritage since 1997? It is now property of the Polytechnic University of Turin and hosts the Department of Architecture and Design. In the 1960s, during the Italian economic boom and the exponential increase in car production, this amazing courtyard was used as a parking lot!

Hi @mauriziovrenna ,

Thanks for sharing these tips about what’s important to take into consideration when sharing reviews on Google Maps.

Please be aware that I’ve edited your post to remove the Italian language tag, as it’s in English. You are welcome to post in Local Guides Connect in the language you prefer. You can read more about language tags here How do I find posts in my preferred language?.
