I am running a competition with my boyfriend to see who wins more badges and points in Google Maps.
But I am in clear disadvantage since Q&A don’t appear in my phone app. Yes, I do have my lastest version of Google Maps and I am sharing my location even when the app is off. What is wrong with it? Does it don’t work on Iphones?

If you boyfriend has an Android phone then he is likely to get more points from Q&A because the Android App is further ahead than the iOS version. Sorry.

As we had a similar topic shared on Connect before, I would like to send it over to you for a reference. The feature of answering questions was turned off and is not available on iOS. The feature is available on Google Maps app for Android. Please only make sure your location history is on in your timeline settings.

Hi @KatyaL for some crazy reasons I’ve also been experiencing that on my Android device for some time. I’ve realised if I get the prompt to answer questions about the place while viewing the place on maps, it usually loads with an error stating “having trouble connecting to the internet” or something like that. And yes, am usually in a perfect network connection. However, sometimes I get the notification to answer the questions and it works. It’s only when I try to fetch the questions via the know this place prompt that the app refuses to fetch the questions. Thank you.

Me pasa lo mismo, las preguntas y respuestas acerca de un lugar que conozco no las puedo contestar porque ocurre un error cuando estoy usando la aplicación google maps desde mi android. Pero, sí funciona cuando abro google maps desde el navegador google chrome. En todo caso, gracias a que usted formuló esta pregunta recientemente es que acabo de enterarme que esa característica fue eliminada para IOS y que no soy la única que presentaba el error. Seguiré el consejo de @KatyaL y activaré el historial de ubicaciones a ver si resuelvo el error.

@EmmaSol I started competing with a friend of mine, we both had done a little , like spontaneously not seriously contributing, and we hadn’t done it in long but when we found out we both had done Google maps, we started competing for views. Now I try to get every badge and to higher levels, and contribute more every month lol
