The Pune airport experienced a major uplift with the addition a new terminal this year and with that came many new stores.
The special thing about the new storefronts is that they are all the airport outlets of iconic food joints and cafes in Pune city that local guides have been enjoying for decades and centuries.
I was so delighted to see all my favorite cafes and outlets at the airport

- Good Luck Cafe.
This is an iconic cafe with its main branch in the Deccan area of Pune.
Many generations of Puneites have enjoyed their signature Tea and Bun Maska.
- Masala Twist.
This seems to be airport-only cafe.
The storefront seems accessible and their menu, billing counter and take-away spots are all squeezed in a small space.
This gift shop has its main office on the Solapur Road in Pune.
The storefront looks accessible for a wheelchair facilitating shopping for the wheelchair-bound people.
- Crossword is a well-known bookstore chain with various outlets all over Pune.
The one nearest to my residence is in Aundh.
Their storefront is accessible, though beware, they sell bags too and these do not come free with the books.
- Hush Puppies is a famous store with its main branch on JM Road.
The storefront appears accessible with some comfortable seating areas for those who are waiting while their spouse is shopping.

This seems to be an airport-only cafe.
They have a corner location with a showcase on one side and a cash register on the other side.
This shop selling luxury goods have their main branch on SB Road in Pune.
The storefront in the airport outlet is wide and accessible.
The various racks, and showcase with the goods on sale are easily visible from the walkway of the airport.
They have an outlet very close to my residence and I remember going here on the invitation of a colleague a long time ago.
Their storefront at the Pune airport is a single all-in-one counter for ordering, payment and pickup.
This is a decades old iconic brand in Pune having dozens on of outlets in various neighbourhoods of Pune.
The one near my house is at walking distance and we go here often.
I was at the Pune airport to take a flight to Delhi in October 2024 to attend the Contributors Conversations event by Google.
I did not miss an opportunity to explore the storefronts and to check out the familiar and not-so-familiar outlets.
