Buscando ofrecer mejores vias de transporte entre los Pueblos de Naranjito, Comerio, hacia la Ciudad de Bayamón y el resto del Area Metropolitana, se establecio Este Puente Atirantado sobre El Rio La Plata de Naranjito. Tardandando 6 Años en su construcción, se inaguro en el 2008. Tiene 4 carries en total, 2 en cada dirección. Dos Torres en forma de Diamante de 83 metros. El estilo o Diseño de Puente Atirantado fue seleccionado por ser el de mejor impacto ambiental durante su construción. Los 96 cables son Los que establecen El soporte de los carriles, que tienen en total, 160 metros. Por su estilo y Diseño inusual en Puerto Rico, es uno de los Puente mas fotografiados en la Isla.
