Public list descripton - add photo

Just wondering if adding a photo to a list’s description is possible? Not photos to the individual places, but to the list description.

As an example my house has cast iron lacework with a design registration plate on the inside as shown in the photo. My house will not meet “place” threshold, so I can’t even put the photo there. I would like to put the photo up as part of the description. Possible? Description is prose only?

Would it get considered as a feature extension request?

Another example, I have a list of Magnolia trees in people’s gardens. I’d like to add a photo of a Magnolia tree to the description, and a tree that is not from any particular garden on the list

Hi @longshot

This has been requested over and over to no avail.

From experience, it seems that the image selected to represent a list is likely to be from the list entry you edited last. It is not a great workaround but you can use it to replace an image you don’t like.

Cheers

I should test it.

Thanks.

I’m not seeing any photo which represents a list. Just the word description.

Each place has a photo, and those places I’ve defined have a photo of a Magnolia tree in bloom that I’ve added. I can change the list order on a phone / tablet which is the order shown on other phones and tablets - but not the order presented on a desktop computer, unless syncing can take several days.

Can you / anyone see a photo representing the Magnolia tree list (link in first message)?

I will check on some other people’s phones …

@longshot

The cover photo of a list appears on its general card in our profile or over an area if the list is featured, not inside that list.

I see the cover photo of this list in your profile.

@longshot

By today’s update, those list cards no longer will be available so no cover image will be visible anymore.
